We arrived home safe but tired very late Friday night and took a day to recover and grochery shop. I really missed my garden while I was gone and was very excited to come home and find lots of yummy things to pick!

Tom was done at work a little early today so I got to take him to do a few of my favorite things in Balboa park before we ran for the airport and started our journey home.

After our treck through the Comic-con masses Tom and I were lucky enough to go see the Steam Powered Giraffe show.
(That’s Sam on the left as Hatchworth and Carolina as the Walter Girl in the middle with the giant wrench)

Comic-con was in full swing today I did a lot of people watching and once Tom got off work we walked around the con floor. Mostly I just took pocture of costumes and tried not to get smooshed! So many people!!!!

Oh, and did I mention the costumes?!

I forgot to post yesterday… but I did lots of stuff!! I went up to Balboa park and went to the surfboard exhibit, and took lots of pictures of tribal masks at the Mingei museum, we picked up our Comic-con passes and got our first glimpse of the con, and Paul and Carolina were nice enough to have us over (we actually had dinner with them earlier in the week but I didn’t take pictures.) and as an added bonus we got to hang out with Sam as well.

Today I started down town at the Chinese History Museum, then while I was walking to the bus I stumbled upon the supposedly haunted William Heath Davis house, so I toured that, then I caught a bus up to Balboa Park and visited the fine arts museum.

Tom and I started out day with a bit of arts and crafts. We took over the chalkboard wall in his office. (Tom, Niki, Nicole and Walter posed with their superhero alter egos.)

Then I toured the USS Midway, one of the longest serving US aircraft carriers in history. It was a fun (and slightly eerie) experience. And the views up on deck were just lovely!!
